About the School Breakfast Pilot
What is it?
The School Breakfast Pilot was a six-month pilot to support primary schools to develop a new menu of breakfast food, with nutritional quality at its core.
We worked with 10 schools in Lambeth and Southwark, and provided an online portal to support schools with ordering the new breakfast food.
This phase of the pilot has now ended. Schools can still access example breakfast menus and nutritional guidance and information here.
What’s next?
We are currently reviewing the evaluation findings and considering next steps for this work.

During the autumn 2022/2023 school term, schools that participated in the pilot have been offered a package of support to help them to continue to deliver nutritious breakfasts in their school. Please get in touch with your school partner if you have any questions.
This project is funded by Impact on Urban Health, in collaboration with coordinating partner Magic Breakfast, supported by School Food Matters.
